In her work Nathalie Snel engages in interactions with images, treating them as agents with a will and an agenda; speaking back to them, trying to touch them, trying to entice them into conversation.
A fascination for model making, as a tool for thinking that is both abstract and embodied runs through the works like a red thread. Snel studied visual arts at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam and Cultural Anthropology at the University of Utrecht. She lives and works in Berlin.
